Amy Ouradnik

Amy brings deep expertise in decorative arts to her work creating designs for 5th & Malcolm’s handcrafted wallcovering collection. She has both a BFA in fine art/printmaking from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and an AAS in interior design from Century College. And she keeps expanding her skill set, completing specialized workshops in decorative painting, Moroccan plaster, gilding, verre églomisé and more. She’s also a member of the Society of Gilders and American Society of Interior Designers.

A Minneapolis native, Amy started her own decorative painting company, Aurora Decorative Finishes, in 2003; since then, she’s completed many residential and commercial projects throughout the U.S. and in the Middle East. In 2016, she assisted Jensen Conservation in the re-gilding of the iconic Quadriga sculpture as part of the historic restoration of the Minnesota State Capitol. Amy loves to travel — she’s traveled extensively through Europe and Asia — and can’t wait to gild the next available dome, whether it’s in Abu Dhabi… or Kansas City.
